Chapter 22: Forest Ambush 2 A Vision Not all Can follow

*Cling!*

It was dark in the truck the millitary force drove and he still managed this condition searching like he lost something dear to him.

He was Henry and one of the newest recruit, his mission was hidden so much he could not pull this stunt while his mate were there. 'Where the hell is it?'

Henry stressed his eyes even more shaking as what he looked for was still unknown, if he kept this search a bit longer, he would surely get...

"Henry Andreas, did you lose your balls in my truck?" The back doors he had kept shut swung open and Herny jumped up like a thief getting stunned.

He narrowed his eyes to get the face of the person that caught him and as he deciphered it was Barnabas he started shaking and breathing heavily.

"Oh you cannot reply," Barnabas dropped his eyes to the ground apprehending what occured in the set up already. "How did you know?"

Henry stammered before gaining his voice to scream in rage, "I-i.... You won't get away with innocent life's, not tonight or ever! How would you think using such a vile poison on your own species--?"

"Your species!" Barnabas rudely curt boarding the truck and walking to Henry who quivered even more. "During the very first days of this apocalypse, I gained an amazing ability from the system and understood why I was chosen, laws were made to protect the cowards with money to break it..... I cannot simply explain this in a way you will understand Henry---"

"But I will allow you to walk away from this."

A grin formulated on Henry's face as he thought his intimidation took effect on Barnabas, he was expecting a brawl at first but now could simply go...

"But?"

In a split second Barnabas streched out his hand which tore apart and twisted in the air in many complex patterns like it was rubber and in the next second__

*SPLOOOSH*

Henry's eye sights transformed into a blur and his knees gave in to fall to his back.

For the first second he could not impute what had occured but as moments went past, his ears finally adjusted to the noise created by the blood and the bullet deep within his chest.

'Damn I'm.... Going to die! But I won't give up_____!'

Before Henry touched the floor he managed to stabilize himself to stagger back a few feet.

"Hahahaha! You think a single bullet will kill me punk!" He managed to mutter his head already spinning, he could not make out the face of Barnabas to know if he was shocked or not but yearned to see him like that. 'i have a close range ability, I need to get close enough to land something fatal on him!'

As Henry attempted to charge foward dark wisps of smoke engulfed Barnabas and out of it formed a large human size hand with razor sharp claws that lunged at him.

Before his body got any feet closer, his head was torn off it's body cleanly.

Whatever beast did this was deft in the act of killing and in one move, already ended Henry's life.

The enormous hand reverted into the dark smoke and Barnabas glowered at the body "What they do not understand, is I have a vision they can all follow, is it too hard to apprehend?"
