In the two battleships the fighters and mechas were ready and prepared for takeoff, they could not know if they had been discovered and were going into a trap.

The ships were somewhat outdated and different versions of the battleships prior to the modernization that Pandora made, only a huge number of them could pose a real danger, and in direct contact with artificial intelligences they would not be able to maintain their alibi for long.
