“I’ll kill that bastard!” Trent exclaimed. “I’ll rip out his eyes and feed them to crows!”

The young man’s face bandages had been removed shortly. However, the soup scalding that Tyler gave him left behind a permanent tan. Now that he was shivering with outrage, he looked like a boiling tea kettle.

“I want his life destroyed as well,” Erica chimed in. “But we saw something strange yesterday that made us wonder if he really is a peasant.”

“What are you talking about?” Trent asked with a raised eyebrow. “After Tyler was imprisoned, Dad made sure the Grants were financially crippled. Ricardo stole Hugh’s business, and Huxley extorted all his savings. There’s no way Tyler has even a cent to his name!”
