Ignoring his dying roar and agony, Annie watched in some astonishment as the modified warriors charged out from the dark corners.

The ordinary Zhuoer Elven Soldiers, standing only between 1.6 to 1.75 meters tall, were rather skinny and slight.

They typically wielded short swords and carried soft bows or hand crossbows.

Most of them were either Wanderers or assassins, with very few becoming warriors among the Zhuoer Elves.

The reason wasn't that they lacked the qualifications to be warriors, but it was difficult for warriors to survive in the city-states of the Zhuoer Elves.

They usually faced all kinds of competition and assassination.
