The expanded logging camp was no longer the small timber camp of the past.

The underbrush and weeds had also been cleared, keeping the surroundings in clear view, allowing for early warnings when enemy tracks were discovered.

The moat, connected to the river, was three meters wide, effectively isolating the camp from outside dangers.

Stone walls stood imposingly on all four sides of the camp.

The stones, gathered by thousands of kobolds, were meticulously stacked to a height of five meters.

The nearly four-meter-wide tops of the stone walls could accommodate four rows of soldiers for defense.

Several merlons and bunkers had been established on each side.

Heavy crossbows protruded from the shooting ports of the merlons, operated by soldiers aiming into the woods hundreds of meters away.

The adventurers felt a sense of reassurance at the sight of such military weaponry.
