I pretend I don't see him, I fix my gaze again on my friends but it is impossible for my eyes not to turn to see him.

I sigh and while I'm eating Mike notices that I'm still thoughtful, sometimes I hate that they know me so well.

—What do you have Julia? —he asks while looking around the restaurant.

I snort to answer, his thick, hoarse voice coming up behind me.

—Hello guys, I can sit and eat with you.

Mike and Jack stare at me waiting for my answer, I'm hesitant but I end up accepting.

"Sure, but you can only sit if you come alone, if not, it's better that you leave and find your table." I look at him out of the corner of my eye while I place my hands on the table.

"You shouldn't be angry with me anymore, I love you in some way, Julia," he comments, placing his hand in mine.
