Side Story : Festival of Falling Flame 1
[Takes Place After Arc 1]
The Festival of Falling Flame... A spectacle that takes place but once a year.
Held in Port Breeze, the festival attracts huge crowds of tourists from all corners of the sky every year.
A suitable place for couples to spend time together while enjoying beautiful fireworks.
That's what Djeeta told me before she decided to tell Rackam to steer the Grandcypher to Port Breeze.
But even though Djeeta planned to use the festival for our date, as soon as we entered the festival, we got separated because of the large crowd gathered there.
And here I am, lost, looking for Djeeta or anyone I know... the crowd makes it difficult for me to sense anyone and I can't use my wings either.
"Ugh, this is such a bad idea..." I muttered as I tried to navigate through the crowd while looking around me.
"Not gonna lie, I was kinda excited when Djeeta told me about this festival, but who would've thought that as soon as we entered, we got separated... instead of enjoying the festival together, we're both racing to find each other first."
"Hmm... How do I get to the Casino Liner from here?" a girl's voice was heard as she running trying to get to her destination.
The girl not paying attention to where she was running, and Rei who was scanning the surroundings trying to find Djeeta, didn't realize they were getting closer and closer to each other.
Until they almost collided. "Hey, watch out!" the girl yelled as she realized she was about to crash into someone.
After Rei hearing her voice he's quickly moved to avoid the girl but because she was panicking she tripped over something and started to fall.
The girl after seeing that she was about to fall prepared to use her hands to stop herself but suddenly felt someone's arms wrap around her waist and stop her from falling.
"You should be more careful, I know you're in a hurry, but pay attention to where you're running," the girl heard Rei's voice.
Rei then helped her to stand and let go of his arms that were wrapped around her waist. "I'm sorry, I was in a rush because I'm afraid I'm gonna be late ," the girl said then looked at Rei.
But after seeing him, the girl looked surprised because she had never seen a man with such an appearance before - silver hair and blue eyes, combined with his very handsome face. However, the girl managed to control her expression.
"It's okay as long as you're not hurt," I replied to the girl with a smile.
I could see that the girl had long blue hair and blue eyes like mine, wearing a blue fur-trimmed coat and a blue hat, with her weapon placed behind her waist.

Hmm, this girl looks familiar...
"haha....sorry again. By the way, let me introduce myself, my name is Theresa," the girl or Theresa scratched her cheek while introducing herself while avoiding eye contact.
Hmm, Theresa? Is she also a main character in Grandblue Fantasy? I don't really remember this story but oh well.
I then reached out my right hand towards her. "My name is Rei, by the way where are you going in such a hurry?" I introduced myself while asking her.
Theresa saw me reaching out my hand, then without hesitation, she took off the gloves she was wearing, and shook my hand with a smile. "I'm looking for the way to the Casino Liner to join the Duel Tournament there."
"Actually, there's still time before the tournament starts, but I want to make sure I register before it's too late."
"Hmm, Casino Liner huh? Sorry, I don't know where that is because this is also my first time here" I said to Theresa as I released my hand from hers.
Theresa looked disappointed after hearing that I also didn't know how to get to the Casino Liner. But when she was about to say something to me, I cut her off while saying "If you don't mind, how about we look for it together? I'm also separated from my other friends, so instead of being alone, maybe it's better if we search together."
"Ah, I'm okay with that," Theresa replied with a smile.
I then turned towards the direction where many people were heading. "Shall we?" I looked at Theresa while behaving like a gentleman offering his arm to a lady.
Theresa seeing my behavior could only chuckle softly and then accept my hand. We both walked together into the festival.
"Sorry if you mind, but earlier I got separated from my friend, so I thought it would be better to do this so we not gonna get separated in this crowded place" i said to Theresa who was beside me who is wrapping her arm around mine.
"It's okay, I agree with what you said. This way, we don't have to worry about getting separated," Theresa replied casually.
We both continued walking together through the crowded streets Theresa and i is really close to each other right now.
Because of the large crowd Theresa and I were so close to each other and Theresa's body is currently pressed against mine. "There is a lot of people around here, isn't it..." Theresa said while looking around, not minding her body which was currently pressed against mine.
I don't mind Theresa's body being so close to mine because I'm used to it with Djeeta and others, but the real issue is how crowded this place is.
We couldn't even stop to ask for directions from other people, so we were stuck in the crowd heading in the direction they were going.
But we still managed to enjoy the view of the festival. There were so many colorful stalls lining beside the streets, and people shouting to offer what they were selling.
As we were both enjoying the festival, suddenly someone bumped into Theresa, causing both of us to stop. "Ouch," Theresa rubbed her forehead feeling a bit hurt because that person's bumping into her.
"Whoa, sorry!" we both heard a man apologizing for bumping into Theresa.
I could see that the man who bumped into Theresa had blonde hair and is wearing very flashy clothes... Doesn't he get hot wearing clothes like that?

But when the man saw Theresa, his eyes widened as if he saw something very beautiful... (?)
"It's okay," Theresa replied shortly, as it was the second time she got bumped into by someone...
But the man just remained silent with his eyes wide open while staring at Theresa, making Theresa wave her left hand in front of his face because her right hand is still wrapping around mine.
"Hello? Are you okay?" Theresa said to the man.
But the man continued to daydream and didn't answer Theresa's question... "Well, now what?" I said to Theresa.
"I don't know... but he's the one who bumped into me, right? I don't want to be around here any longer, so can we go?" Theresa said to me.
I just nodded after hearing Theresa's words, and then we continued our walk leaving the man who was still lost in his thoughts with his eyes wide open.
"She's so beautiful... I've never seen a woman so beautiful.... This... This must be fate!" the man shouted when he snapped out of his thoughts.
But he realized that the woman he bumped into was no longer in front of him. "Damn... she's gone, but oh well, I'm sure we'll meet again because this is destiny," the man said to himself.
The man then continued on his way to his destination, happy that he could meet someone so beautiful even though he had only intended to gamble at this festival before.
