Bab 116: A New Hero?

Upon reaching the city, the carriages were greeted with a massive welcome festival. Walter had sent a messenger ahead to inform them of his arrival, so the city's lord got ready as fast as he could.

The massive steel gate opened with guards lined on the walls, saluting the coming carriages as Walter waved his hand to the people gathering at the sides of the road to see him. At this time, Liam had fully healed and was driving the first carriage, his eyes looking for any strange thing among the guards. This was a prime time for assassinations.

The carriages rode past the gate unhindered, none of the guards dared to even lower their hands from saluting the king, let alone move a step. But Liam quickly noticed that the road was blocked a bit far ahead with Lord and his family waiting to greet the king.

"This is going to be a pain…" He sighed, "Walter, can we separate for a bit? I don't want to get stuck in a fancy party."
