Bab 280: FLIGHT TO DRAEGO

LORD NIKO'S POV

The wind rushes past me as my wings slice through the air, each powerful stroke carrying us higher above the forests that stretch out below. Silas and Talon flanked me on either side, their scales glinting in the fading light of the setting sun. Above us, Cedric, and Glenda ride securely on our backs, their cloaks billowing behind them as we soared towards Draego.

The sun was high in the skies and the clouds were clear. But the familiar sensation of freedom, of power, coursing through my veins as I soared in the skies made me feel anxious. The lands below us are a blur of green and gray, distant, and unimportant now. My focus is on the horizon, on the rising mountains that mark the border of Draego.
