Bab 136: ROAD TO IONA

FABIAN'S POV

" Why did you volunteer to go to Iona with me ?" Claudio demanded as we left Sith Castle late at night.

" Who else did you want to go with? Do you know how dangerous the borders of Iona are? They have laid traps to catch your kind " I scolded him as we moved through the border.

" You would have chosen to remain behind " He snapped.

" Can you stop whining and look at the bigger picture? " I turned to stare at him.

" Which is? " Claudio raised his hands in frustration.

" We need to get the gold as evidence. Iona is the best bet and if we make it on time, we can be back in Sith within forty-eight hours" I emphasized.

" What about the danger that lurks? Warrior Thomas is not as stupid as you all think. He is a man who pretends to be drunk but in the real sense, he sleeps with one eye open waiting for an attack. He is a ruthless killer"

" I know," I smirked. " Yet I managed to defeat him in combat"
