Soon after, seven delicate and exquisite gifts were sent to Caroline's office, and they were arranged in an orderly manner.

"Is this alright?" Karen asked.

Lifting her gaze, Caroline said, "Karen, I think you should be more polite to me. Otherwise, you'll lose the chance to live off him forever."

"You... If you knew about our relationship, then shouldn't you respect me instead? I can decide your place in this company!" Karen said.

"Oh? Really? Why don't you suggest that to Mr. Lanes then?" Caroline smiled.

"Don't cross the line," Karen said sternly.

"Am I going too far? I wasn't the one who wanted to throw your gifts in the trash can, was I? Alright, let's stop talking about that. Why don't you get me a pair of scissors instead? I want to unwrap these gifts," Caroline said.

Karen was up in arms over her words. Instead of punching her in the face, she could only obey her orders. 

With the scissors, Caroline unwrapped the gifts right in front of Karen.
