Bab 405: Strange demons

With the support of the lantern and the golden barrier, it was easy for us to make our way deeper into this valley.

The demonic cultivators and demons didn't seem like they were able to do a single thing to us as we moved forward.

There were some that tried to attack even though it was clear that none of their attacks had any effects. They didn't seem discouraged at all by the fact that all of the attacks that had been made previously had resulted in the death of the ones that initiated them.

Of course, the only thing that was waiting for them was death just like with the others.

Only I could see from the look in their eyes that they were doing this with purpose.

It was as if they didn't care if the consequences of failure was death, they were just that enticed by the reward that they could gain if they were able to kill us.

It really made me wonder just what kind of reward had been offered that would make them this desperate.
