He was late, Bel thought to herself as she sat with her lunch in front of her. She couldn't believe she was waiting for him. She was still angry about the earlier kiss and her realization; there was no way she felt anything other than dislike towards Davien. She was probably just overwhelmed at the time.
She shot her eyes to the door. Mallory had moved the time for her lunch a little forward since Bel had eaten breakfast later than she should have, so there was no reason why he wasn't here yet. He should have had more than enough time to make it. It wasn't that she missed his company or wanted him around, but this had become a routine, and it was annoying to have routines broken.
"That's it!" she yelled out loud, picking up the cutlery. "I am not waiting any longer."
Bel was about to take her second bite when the door was pushed open and Davien walked in. She paused and took in his demeanor. "You're late," she said and popped the food into her mouth.
