Bab 32: One Kiss

Irene smiled from ear to ear as Sebastian gave her another five hundred dollars. She wrapped her hands around Sebastian's arm and followed him around the house like a kitten following its mother.

"I don't know why, but you look so handsome today." Irene praised him. 

Sebastian shook his head in disbelief. "You never acted this cute before."

"That's because you haven't paid me enough." Irene leaned toward him and whispered, "You know ... a gold-digger will act according to how much money you can give her."

"What if I suddenly go bankrupt and have no money in my pocket? Will you leave me?" 

Irene nodded without much thought. "Of course. Men leave pregnant women all the time, so why should women settle when their men become poor?"

Other men would usually take offense when they heard those words, but Sebastian was the opposite. He looked rather pleased that his future wife didn't lower her standards to please a man.
