Bab 92: Like a warm embrace

Dahlia couldn't shake the unease that had gripped her ever since the shaman's cryptic words. So, as soon as the carriage halted, she stepped out, her face expressionless, and silently made her way inside the residence. Her mind churned with anxiety, barely noticing Sullivan watching her retreat with a worried frown.

"Looks like Princess Dahlia didn't enjoy Prince Sullivan's company after all," Harris teased, his voice dripping with sarcasm as he passed by, headed to retire for the night.

Sullivan ignored him, too preoccupied with his own thoughts, but the jab stung. He followed Dahlia inside.

When he finally entered their room, he found her already in bed, her back turned to him. He let out a quiet sigh, realizing that whatever had upset her, she wasn't ready to talk about it.

Not wanting to disturb her further, Sullivan slipped into the washroom, hoping the privacy would give him time to think about how to approach her.
