"Enjoy your meal Sir" I said as I served a customer
He didn't reply but kept staring at me. I shrugged and left.
I went to the next person
"Are you ready to order now Ma'am" I asked
"It's you?" She said pointing and glancing at her phone
"Me, what did I do Ma'am?" I asked her
She didn't reply, I walked to another table
Why was everyone looking at me like this, is there something on my face or what?
I packed the plates at the table, grabbed the tip and put in my pocket and walked to drop them in the back for washing
"Valerie, what's going on?" A colleague ask me
"I have no idea, everyone is just staring at me like I have something on my face" I complained
"The person you said splashed you dirt water on your way to work...is the person by any chance Chase Banks??" She asked
I'm shocked
"It is, how on earth did you know because I know I didn't tell anyone" I asked
"I think this would explain why everyone is looking at you" she informed handing over her phone
Oh mhi gawd, I can't believe this, someone actually filmed this?
This is not nice at all,now this will draw attention to me and I don't need anyone trying to look into my private life or my family...
I hand the phone back to her as I leave
★★Florence Banks★★
I watch the news with zero interest, my son totally on my mind
Why did Nicole have to die, now my son has refused to give any woman access to his life
"...this morning a video of a waitress, Valerie James confronting our hottest billionaire CEO, Chase Banks...."
I quickly brought out my phone and searched for the news on Google
As I watched the video, a smile found its way to my face..
"Oh my, I love her guys, she's standing up to him like she doesn't care what he will do to her"
I watched the video numerous times as an idea popped into my head
I picked my other phone and dialed a number
"Yes how are you doing... I need you to research and send me every little detail on everything about her life from birth till today"
I dropped the call and continued watching the video
"And who are you investigating on??" My husband asks as he comes down the stairs
"Honey, you will love this, come over and watch this"
★★Valerie★★
I walked into the pharmacy to get my sister's meds. This is very uncomfortable and I hate it so much, I mean why is everyone staring at me ?
If I find whoever it is that recorded that stuff and posted I'll definitely...
"Can you stop staring??" I asked the nurse at the pharmacy
"Sorry" she apologized and continued to get me the meds I required
Another call from my Mom makes me realize that she has no doubt seen the videos
I ignore the call and rush home
I get into the house to my mom sitting on the couch glancing at her phone
"Good morning Mom, I'm really sorry for not picking your calls I.."
"Save the explanations till after you've freshened up and filled your stomach" she interrupts
That's my mom for you, she doesn't jump on you suddenly no matter how pissed she is, she gives both herself and you time to think before talking

I walk and sit beside my Mom
"I've told you multiple times not to take actions on impulse, to think before you react" she said
"Mom, he was wrong, he should have apologized when he splashed me dirty water" I tried to explain
"Even though, you should have kept cool. It is Chase Banks for goodness sake, you should have known that whatever happens with Chase will reach the internet" she reminded me
"I know Mom, I was just pissed"
"I know you were pissed, but see now. I'm not really worried about myself or you. I am worried about Annie, how would she cope with public eyes on her plus her illness?" She asked me
"I didn't expect..." My phone rang
It was an unknown number. "Excuse me mom, I need to take this"

I listened
📞I'm coming right now
I rushed out without saying a word

I entered the car that was waiting for me outside the building
I noticed we drove past the same place three times
"Uhmm sorry, haven't we passed this place like twice?" I asked the driver
" Someone is stalking you" he replied
"Oh mhi gawd!! Why? Am I safe, my family..."
"Do not work up yourself, it's just the media, I think they want every information about you they can get" he told me
"That's ridiculous, they should mind their freaking business"
"That's not how it works with them, they are trained to sniff everything that is of importance and interest to the public"
I shook my head in disbelief
" alright we are here" he announced
He came down and opened the door for me, I saw another car...
He walked towards it and knocked on the window before opening the door and motioning for me to enter
★★Florence Banks ★★
I smiled as she walked into the car and sat
"Hello" I said to her
"Hi, before you make any decisions I did not plan for whatever happened to happen, your son splashed dirty water on me and it was morally right that he apologized and so I demanded it" I explained
She burst into serious laughter
What exactly is funny right now. I thought she was pissed at me or...is this her way of expressing anger?
"Ma'am...
"It's funny my dear, I am not angry at all over what happened"
I was shocked " you are not?"
"No I'm not, I mean my son should have apologized for what happened or even the driver"
"You are right Ma.."
"Let's not beat around the bush, I have a proposal for you" she stated
"A proposal??"
"Marry my son!!!
