Chapter 87 - Asia, I'm Back!
Three days passed without any suspense. During these three days, Mahiro went into the city and took care of the zombies there, completing the third main quest: Zombie Exterminator.
With the help of Saeko and the others, the group of survivors in the kendo club remained safe and well. No one protested about looking for their families after seeing Shido's end.
After being cut by a knife soaked in zombie blood, Shido was infected and turned into a zombie. Mahiro wanted to kill him, but Rei, seeking revenge, asked to do it herself, and Mahiro let her.
When Rei saw the zombified Shido, she was so happy that she couldn't stop grinning as she killed him.
Takashi, witnessing all of this, was so terrified that he didn't wait any longer and snuck out of the kendo club. He was so scared that he thought Mahiro would injure him with the zombie-soaked knife as well.
With all of that done, Mahiro received a system prompt indicating the completion of quests.

Seeing the Magic Booster card reward, Mahiro immediately used it and felt an increase in his magic power.

This meant he could leave now and still have 6 free days available when he returned.
Since Mahiro had mostly taken care of the nearby zombies, there wouldn't be any dire situations the group couldn't handle. Plus, Saeko and Rei were capable of managing things in his absence.
With this in mind, he could return to Highschool DxD without worry.
Without further hesitation, Mahiro called Saeko and the others.
"There are some things that need to be done in the city, and I'll be back in a few days," Mahiro explained.
"So, you're planning to leave for good?" Saya asked, her mood sinking.
"I came here to take care of some things, but there's still a lot more I need to do. But don't worry, I'll be back," Mahiro reassured her with a smile.
"I won't say much more. I wish you success," Saeko said softly, not pressing further.
"Just don't get into any trouble, or I'll never forgive you," Saya interjected, giving Mahiro her usual tsundere look.
"Be safe, Mahiro-kun..." Rei looked downcast but still forced a smile as she said goodbye.
Seeing her expression, Mahiro gave her a strong hug and whispered in her ear, "Don't worry, I won't leave you."
"Really?" Rei's eyes gleamed, and her face flushed with happiness at Mahiro's words.
Mahiro smiled. Over the past three days, his relationship with Saya, Saeko, and Rei had grown deeper.
"Don't worry, nothing will happen to me. But... while I'm gone, if any new survivors show up and seem dangerous, don't hesitate—just take care of them," Mahiro instructed, giving both Saya and Saeko a strong hug as well.

After leaving Fujimi Academy, Mahiro found a quiet area and called the system in his mind.
[Do you wish to leave the dimensional world?]
"Yes."
As soon as the word left his mouth, the surroundings changed. Mahiro was engulfed by a white light, and in the next moment, he found himself near Kuoh Town Park.
[The system has recorded the timeline. The host can re-enter the Dimensional World: Highschool of the Dead through that record.]

The system prompted as Mahiro appeared at the location. After a moment, Mahiro opened the system panel.
"System, is the time flow between the Dimensional World and the Main World the same as before?"
[Yes.]
Mahiro frowned slightly. The time flow ratio of 1:10 meant that if he entered Highschool of the Dead after the cooldown period, more than three months would have passed there.
Three months is a long time, and in Highschool of the Dead, there are too many variables. He couldn't risk it.
[Don't worry, host! You can spend points to adjust the time flow.]
Hearing this, Mahiro's eyes lit up, and he asked, "How many points are required?"

Mahiro pondered for a moment and then set the time flow between the Main World and the Dimensional World to 100:1.
