Not long to when Elara entered the room, the rushing sound of shower pulled her to conscious.

Her mind drew back to Alpha Harlan and the silent treatment he was giving her and then the eyes she looked at her with in the hall and how he handled Lyanna.

She quietly lay on one side of the bed until some giggles.

In the dimly lit bathroom, Elara stood, her heart pounding like a drum in her chest. The sound of rushing water from the shower masked her presence as she listened intently to the voices beyond the frosted glass door. The woman's voice was soft, melodic, with a hint of laughter that made Luna's stomach churn with jealousy.

"I missed you," Lyanna said, her voice laced with longing.

"I missed you too, darling," replied a deep, familiar voice, sending a pang of hurt through Elara's heart.
