Bab 105: Ambush!

Among the towering trees of the thick and green forest, each tree so tall that they seemed to touch the sky, arrived a group of beings who did not belong there.

The first was a dwarf, his metal limbs cranking with every movement, producing a rhythmic clanking sound that echoed through the quiet woods. His face, grizzled and lined with age, was marked by a permanent scowl as if he distrusted the very air he breathed. Beside him was a nymph, her ethereal beauty so captivating that it seemed capable of bewitching the gods themselves. Her steps were light and graceful, and her eyes scanned the surroundings with a mix of wariness and nostalgia.
