Then, there was the road itself. The thing actually… glowed? No, that wasn't it, either. There seemed to be creatures swimming in it. Wait, were those actually souls?!

Gray could sense it. There was something strange about them. Whenever someone passed above them, they'd congregate, giving light, yet they never gave any feedback.
