Bab 11: Sinister Intentions
A resounding slap struck Yvonne Louise's face hard.
Caught off guard, Yvonne's head was knocked to the side, wiping the smugness off her face. She looked at Cynthia Shannon in disbelief, and the shock in her eyes gradually turned into anger. "How dare you slap me?!"
"Why wouldn't I? Who do you think you are?!"
The next second, Cynthia suddenly grabbed her by the throat and forcefully pressed her head towards the window.
Yvonne's feet dangled in the air, and her upper body had already leaned out of the window.
The height of the fifteenth floor made her scalp tingle, her pupils tremble, and even her screams were involuntarily accompanied by intense trembling. "Help! Murder!"
"Yvonne Louise, I used to let it go, but do you really think I am the one to be bullied by you?" Cynthia calmly said, and her hand that was pressing down on Yvonne increased its strength by a few points. "Since you can't control your mouth, I don't mind shutting it permanently!"
As she spoke, Yvonne's entire body was hanging upside down at the window, her terrified screams echoing. She quickly begged for mercy, "I'm sorry. I'm sorry... I won't dare again..."
Perhaps this scene was too thrilling, attracting a crowd of onlookers, some of whom calmly took out their phones to record videos.
Cynthia glanced at the crowd in front of her and thought about returning to the Quinn Family in a few days to inherit the family business. She didn't want any complications at this critical juncture.
"I don't want to see it happen again!" Cynthia snorted coldly and pulled Yvonne Louise back into the window.
Yvonne's feet finally touched the ground and she felt the solid ground beneath her. The stone that had been hanging in her throat finally fell, and she hurriedly got up and fled, constantly glancing back with a warning to Cynthia, "Cynthia Shannon, just you wait! The Louise Family won't let you off!"
Cynthia raised an eyebrow, the cold arc of her lips making her face even more stunning. "Just bring it on!"
She had no connection with the Louise Family anymore, and she had nothing to worry about.
If the Louise Family really didn't know what was good for them, she wouldn't mind reducing them to their original state!
Cynthia returned to her room, with echoes of Yvonne's words in her ears, "Don't think I don't know why you mysteriously disappeared back then. My brother told me everything!"
She never knew promises could be so cheap.
Nor did she know that the man she truly loved had never believed in her.
But did Joe Louise forget why she was kidnapped?
How could he not feel any self-reproach or guilt, and personally expose her scars?
The memory of that night in the alley made Cynthia uncontrollably tremble, as if a gap had been torn open in her heart, letting the cold wind rush in, chilling her to the bone.
It wasn't until the knocking sound came that Cynthia was snapped back to reality.
She turned her gaze and saw Tristan Ford standing at the door.
The panic on her face flashed and was replaced by a hint of surprise.
She didn't expect to meet again so soon after they had just separated, and it happened to be at her most disheveled state.
"Is there... something else?" Cynthia asked.
Tristan, dressed in a well-tailored suit, took confident strides with his long, slender legs as the sunlight cast a golden glow on him, making him exude an air of elegance and nobility, like an untouchable celestial being.
His black eyes stared at Cynthia's face, noticing the moisture in the corners of her eyes, and his brows furrowed imperceptibly.
