After exchanging gifts, Cassian noticed it was getting late and finally addressed the second reason for his visit. "Arix, do you know what being pureblood means?" His face suddenly turned serious.

"I'm not sure, but it seems to come with a high status," Arix replied. Ever since she was discovered to be a pureblood cub, nearly everyone in the Tiger clan had looked at her with respect and trust.

Cassian nodded. "In the Empire, pureblood cubs do have high status, but it also comes with risks. If someone wants to harm the Tiger clan, their first target would be you."

"Me again?" Arix wasn't surprised by Cassian's words and seemed quite used to it.

"Others have targeted you too?" Cassian's eyebrows knitted together, a hidden fury in his eyes.
