Bab 17: A sudden defense

The house fell silent, she searched thoroughly for any evidence to prove Andrei's involvement in her sister's murder but there was none. 

It was as though he intentionally cleared everything, there was no sign of his involvement nor was there any trace of where he had gone to, or how long he had been seeing Josie. 

At that moment, she knew the perfect person to talk to. 

It was Rose, her best friend. She drove straight to Rose's place after several failed attempts to reach her on the phone. 

As always, Josie was excited to see her. Suzanne explained everything that had been going on to her and how she hadn't seen him in days now.

When she mentioned the issue of him having a girlfriend, she wasn't sure how Josie took the news. Rosy's laugh was sharp, knowing. "And how does that make you feel?" Suzanne's fingers traced the rim of her espresso cup. "Feel? It's a contract marriage, Rosy. Feelings aren't part of the arrangement."
