However, Lynn did have a need for Lockhart's autographed notes.
Ever since Professor Green left Hogwarts, whenever Lynn wanted to obtain alchemy books from the restricted section that were on Green's booklist, she had to sneak in using the Disillusionment Charm and copy them down, which was far less efficient than simply borrowing the books directly.
"Of course! Lockhart's personal autograph, as his loyal fan, that's definitely a bonus!" Lynn said with a light laugh.
Irina gave an "OK" gesture and said happily, "Alright, I'll go get the autographed note now. See you at the usual spot later!"
After saying that, Irina took the initiative to cut off the magical power supply to the two-way mirror.
During the afternoon break, Irina went to the floor where the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor's office was located and "happened" to run into Lockhart, who had come out to get some water.
"Professor Lockhart, could you please give me an autograph? These past few days, your Defense Against the Dark Arts classes have been really interesting, and we all love them!" Irina said, pretending to be a brainless little fangirl and praising him insincerely.
In her heart, however, Irina was mocking Lockhart's terrible acting skills in the dramatizations he performed during his Defense Against the Dark Arts classes.
Seeing this exceptionally beautiful young witch, Irina, actively asking for his autograph, Lockhart immediately felt his vanity being satisfied. He revealed a set of pearly white teeth and smiled, "Of course, beautiful Miss Lowell!"
"That's great, then I'll trouble you for that, Professor Lockhart!"
Irina giggled and handed Lockhart a large stack of blank parchment.
Lockhart felt the weight in his hands and froze when he saw the at least one hundred sheets of blank parchment.
Lockhart forced a smile and said, "Miss Lowell, I don't think you need this many autographs, do you?"
Irina smiled at him and said, "But many of my fellow lady students also want Professor Lockhart's personal autograph! I'm sure the wise and brave Professor Lockhart wouldn't refuse us loyal fans, right?"
Lockhart, feeling pressured, found it difficult to back out.
In the end, Lockhart still signed autographs for Irina, going through over a hundred sheets of blank parchment one by one. Lockhart felt like his hand was going to cramp up.
He had never imagined that giving autographs to fans could be such a painful task.
After watching Irina leave his Defense Against the Dark Arts professor's office, Lockhart regretfully looked at his depleted ink bottle.
Why did he impulsively agree to this?!
Lockhart was filled with remorse.
On the other hand, after obtaining the autographed notes, Irina skipped happily to the familiar abandoned classroom, where Lynn was already waiting.
"Here you go, these are all of them. I'll keep ten for myself, that's enough!" Irina said with a beaming smile as she tossed Lynn a large bundle of parchment signed with Lockhart's name.
After catching the parchment and feeling its weight, Lynn was a bit surprised, "So many?!"
Irina said proudly, "Hehe, I pretended to be his little fangirl, praised him a couple of times, and he became completely full of himself! You should have seen him after signing all those names, his right hand looked like it had Parkinson's disease – he used up all his ink for me."
Lynn looked at Irina with amusement. This wool sheep really knew how to fleece someone!
"Tsk, giving me ninety-something and keeping only ten for yourself? Such favoritism towards me, huh?" Lynn teased after stuffing the bundle of autographed notes into her canvas bag.
Hearing this, Irina's pretty face turned red, then she glared at him and said, "Don't think too much of it. I just noticed you often go to the restricted section, so I figured you might need this more than I do."
Lynn said cheerfully, "You're quite concerned about me, then. I'll have to prepare a nice return gift!"
"What return gift?" Irina asked expectantly.
Lynn winked mysteriously and said, "I'll tell you when the time comes."
...
The Halloween holiday passed quickly, and after the first Herbology class following the reopening, Irina stayed behind and did not leave the greenhouse.
"Is there something you need, Miss Lowell?" Professor Sprout asked, noticing that Irina had no intention of leaving.
Irina respectfully said, "Professor Sprout, may I take a closer look at the Venomous Tentacula and the Snargaluff? I'm quite curious about their specific habits!"
Professor Sprout was a bit surprised and instinctively wanted to politely refuse, "Miss Lowell, you must understand that these two magical plants are extremely dangerous! Many wizards have been killed by improperly handling these magical plants!"
Irina pleaded, "Please let me try, Professor! On the first Herbology class of the semester, you must have noticed how the Mandrakes were exceptionally obedient in my hands. I suspect I have a special talent for getting magical plants to take a liking to me, and I want to test it with these two magical plants."
Hearing this, Professor Sprout hesitated.
She certainly remembered the situation in the first Herbology class of the semester and had witnessed the strange reaction of the Mandrake in Irina's hands. After class, she had personally gone to repot Irina's Mandrake, but once in her own hands, that Mandrake had become completely normal, even crying more fiercely than before.
At the time, Professor Sprout had been puzzled, and now, hearing Irina's words, she couldn't help but wonder – could Irina really have a talent for making magical plants take a liking to her?
If that were truly the case, then Irina could be considered a prodigy in Herbology!
"Then... you can try, but it must be under my full supervision. It's still too dangerous to interact with the Venomous Tentacula and Snargaluff on your own!" Professor Sprout said cautiously after some thought.
Irina obediently nodded. The reason she had requested Professor Sprout's permission instead of sneaking in using a Disillusionment Charm was precisely so that Professor Sprout could protect her.
Although she was a Gryffindor, she wasn't reckless. Moreover, the number of wizards killed by the Venomous Tentacula and Snargaluff was not small!
The first magical plant Irina tried to interact with was the Venomous Tentacula.
Under Professor Sprout's supervision, Irina took small steps towards a Venomous Tentacula in the third greenhouse.
Upon sensing Irina's approach, the Venomous Tentacula extended one of its vines and coiled it around Irina's wrist.
"Be careful!" Professor Sprout said with a wary look, ready to blast the Venomous Tentacula with her wand.
Although she felt heartbroken at the thought of destroying a magical plant she had painstakingly cultivated, a magical plant could never take precedence over a student's life and safety, no matter what!
"Wait, Professor!" Irina raised her other hand to stop Professor Sprout's action, allowing the Venomous Tentacula's vines to wrap around her wrist.
Through her contact with this Venomous Tentacula, Irina could sense a feeling of attachment from the plant.
