"I want detailed research on all the dark ages, everything that can be given. I want that, as well as a small funding for research purposes," Ezra spoke without hesitation.

The whole hall was quiet for a moment; the king frowned a bit before speaking.

"Why do you want that sort of data?" the king asked.

"I simply love to experiment, and as someone who is extremely curious, the dark age is something I want to know about."

Ezra already had a plan that would definitely make the whole hall agree with him.

"Imagine being able to control combustions, and if an enemy comes against us, we can turn them into our puppets of destruction and fight the enemy."

That small idea he had dropped in their heads was enough to make them start thinking, but that was not all; he would need to push it even more.

"And how should we know that you don't plan to use the information to start another dark age?" a noble shouted out a question.
