Bab 58: Stop right there! State your business!

He heard laughter and talking coming from within the house. Li Jun was a little confused; he didn't know what was going on, but he decided to leave them to it. 

Li Jun sat down and began to cultivate like he did every night, finding himself underneath the apple tree. The sun rose over the mountains and shone down into his courtyard, waking him from his meditation. 

Li Jun got up and looked around to find that the maids were already hard at work, although their actions were strange. 

They were hanging red ribbons around the entire perimeter of the house. As he looked closer, he came to a sudden realization. 

Summer was about to end, which meant the city would become lively and full of celebrations. Between each season, there was a festival that allowed those who worked hard to take a break and celebrate with friends and family. It helped keep up the morale of the average citizen.
