"What of Astrid's remains?" Vinnandra asked Marenda as her hands felt clammy and cold. They shook slightly to her horror, and she wondered if she was coming down with something.

"Heir Lenklock wishes to have it commemorated with Princess Aria Brienda's memorial tomb that has been laid at the Brienda Stones. As such, the dragon's bones will guard her tomb as a Brienda Castle's dragon."

Vinn expected that much. It wasn't unsurprising that Xander wanted to lay Astrid here in the East. Astrid was after all his mother's dragon's hatchling.

Vinn laughed awkwardly. "I do not believe that Lord Lenklock took kindly to that news."

"He did not. But what could he possibly do against his grieving son."
