Cain, also known as the Golden Knight, is a well-known light magic user. His name shook the hearts of demons all around because of how powerful he was, and he had just defeated the Demon General, who was also known as the Hybrid, and was transporting him home.
All of his comrades assumed he was taking the demon back as a prisoner and to be executed as a war criminal, but that isn't what Cain was planning.
The Golden Knight, destroyer of demons, and the hero of the human realm, was planning on-- 'I am going to marry him.'
He's been planning this since their first encounter before he became the Demon General Baal, when he was still at loss with his identity. He removed his helmet revealing golden hair, with a pair of golden eyes.
A pink-haired lady with aquamarine eyes walked to him. "Sir, food is about to be served," she said.
Cain nodded. "I'll come later, go on without me," he said, his voice was deep and majestic, and this made the girl blush slightly.
"Yes, sir."
The lady leaves and Cain drops his facade and smiles cheesily as he skips to the carriage containing his future bride. "I'm sorry for keeping you, I promise to--" He saw Baal's lifeless body and his smile froze.
He then lost it.

The first time, he saw Hansel, he just entered high school, and Hansel was in his final year. At first, he wasn't sure about it, but the faint traces of black magic mana surrounded him.
And he knew. But he needed to be sure, so he followed Hansel wherever he went. It isn't stalking... It's just doing a bit of research, not else.

Hansel was kissed silly, he was breathing a bit heavily, and his knees were weak from the kiss, fortunately, he was being held or else he would have fallen.
The boy, whose name is Nathan, in this life, looked at Hansel intensely. "Marry me," he said.
"What!" he exclaimed in surprise.
"Marry me," Nathan repeated.
Hansel got out of his arms and punched him, but he didn't budge, he simply just held the hands that punched him and kissed it.
"Why are you here Golden Knight?" Hansel asked in hostility pulling his hand back and wiping it against his hoodie in disgust.
"To marry you," Nathan replied smiling.
"What?!" Hansel exclaimed.
"To--"
"I heard you the first time," Hansel said pinching the bridge of his nose. He can't fight this guy, he is far stronger than him, and it is obvious to him that he can't defeat him.
His phone rang and he picked it up almost immediately. "Hello," he said.
"Can you come and pick me up?" Jamie asked.
Hansel looked over to his little brother's side and saw him looking at his girlfriend, who was making out with her dance partner, on the dance floor.
"Sure," Hansel replied not asking questions. He glared at Nathan. "This is not over," he said turning around to leave.
Nathan didn't want to let him go. He's had a taste and he doesn't want to let go. But he did. "I'll see you tomorrow don't worry," he said smiling weirdly.
Hansel ignored the uneasy feeling in his heart and he got out of his cloaking spell.
Jamie was still in that corner, swirling his cup, still watching his girlfriend with dark eyes. "Sorry, man," his best friend, Neil, said blocking his view.
"It's fine," he replied sounding a bit sad. "I already called my brother to come pick me up," he said.
"I can just take you home," Neil said, not wanting him to worry his older brother who would brother who would probably be fast asleep.
"There's no need for that." Neil turned around to see Hansel standing behind them. 'They are siblings!' he thought in shock as Hansel pushed past him and looked at Jamie's face, pretending not to know what happened.
He looks in the direction of his girlfriend, who he believes her name was Katie. He glared at her and the boy she was with. "Don't fight," Jamie said holding Hansel's hand.
"I won't."
Hansel watched his distraught and heartbroken younger brother go to his room and his heart was filled with rage. His aura covered the entire building, but he calmed himself down by taking in several deep breaths. "Murder isn't the solution for this," he said to himself.
He sat down on the couch. When he was reborn into this world, he remembered everything from his past life and was distraught that he was born as a human.
Because of experience, he had always assumed that most humans were bad, backstabbers, and liars. He didn't expect that his new family would be kind and loving.
Even after both parents died when he was just about to graduate he was left with the responsibility of taking care of his younger brother.
It was a bit difficult at first, but he was able to adapt, and fortunately, he was able to adapt, and despite not wanting to bother his other family members, they came to their rescue during difficult times.
He knew hadn't passed on just yet because they were sitting directly opposite him looking worried. "What happened to your brother?" the ghost of his mother, Willow, asked.
"His girlfriend cheated on him," Hansel replied.
His father sighed heavily. "He must be heartbroken," he said.
"I'll try to take him out for some bacon pancakes in the morning, and I'll take a sick leave from work as well," Hansel said.
"We are proud of you, son," his mother said holding his father. Hansel's heart softened and he wanted to cry a little but held himself back from doing so.
He stood up stretching and yawned. "I'm going to sleep now," he said getting up and going to his room.
Normally he didn't have dreams, but today he had a dream and it was of his past life and it was a child, he saw the child being kicked by the people, he decided to step out of the shadows where he was hiding.
The people saw him and immediately ran away. He's already become numb to the feelings of people running away at first glance.
The boy didn't look older than seven years old, but the first thing he noticed was the golden eyes.
