Bab 31: The Ultimate Attack
Sophie leaned in close, her lips brushing Noah's ear, igniting a fiery warmth in her body. Her eyes were lost in a dreamy haze as she whispered, "I need you!"
Noah felt a rush of excitement, his eyes glowing with intensity. He quickly got up to grab a condom from the drawer. He was mindful of Sophie's rising career and knew they couldn't risk a pregnancy.
Sophie was puzzled. Why did they have a condom in their bedroom?
Returning to bed, Noah met Sophie's gaze, noticing a chill in her eyes. Sensing her confusion, he explained gently, "We're married, and I'm just being prepared. It's not from anyone else; I've been saving it for us."
Sophie smiled warmly, her eyes sparkling. "I've never been with anyone else," she assured him. "The closest I've come was what we shared on our wedding night."
Her words filled Noah with joy, and he leaned in to kiss her.
"Just a heads up," he said softly, "it might still be a bit painful."
Noah tried his best to hold back, gently reminding Sophie to take it easy.
Sophie nodded with certainty, "It's alright, I've felt this pain before."
Noah wrapped his arms around her shoulders, focused on her feelings. As he kissed her cheek, he moved slowly, making her hiss softly as he inched closer, until they were joined.
In this world, nothing felt more beautiful than sharing such an intimate moment, where two souls became one.
Noah watched as the pain in Sophie's expression faded, and then he began to move slowly.
He was determined to make her first time special, something she'd remember for the rest of her life. After this, they would truly belong to each other.
Outside the window, the moon hung silently above the treetops, casting a gentle glow over the world. Inside, an intimate moment had just ended, leaving cheeks flushed and hearts racing.
Sophie lay exhausted, her body heavy and her mind drifting in and out of wakefulness after feeling the full force of Noah's energy. She was too tired to open her eyes.
She felt someone gently wiping her sticky skin, helping her into a fresh set of pajamas. A soft kiss on her forehead followed, guiding her into sleep.
She didn't regret a single moment of it; it was all going as she had hoped from beginning.
As they drifted off to sleep, the married couple held each other's hands tightly, feeling the warmth and closeness of their bond.
The next morning..
Sophie awakes in his arms, looking at the man that now belonged to her, a satisfied smile appeared across her face.
From now on, no matter how dirty and filthy the entertainment industry was , she had someone she could always rely on. Her heart was filled with faith.
Unfortunately, this happy moment didn't last for 3 days like Noah had hoped.
Because early at the morning, Ashley started knocking at the door.
Linda from Mystic had invited everyone from global pictures to launch and of course Sophie had to attend.
Mystic's magazine was currently in full swing and Sophie's dedication to her job wouldn't allow her to be called arrogant the day before the magazine'e release.
She just never thought, Nathan and Amber had planned another attack on her at this event.
In front of everyone at launch , Amber And Nathan announced they were engaged.
Nathan was tall and handsome, while Amber was delicate and lovely.
Their hands were held tightly together as they stood side by side, looking like the perfect match.
Apart from people of Global pictures, there were also a few higher ups from Mystic in the room. They weren't aware of the relationship between Sophie and Nathan.
So they stood up and clapped their hands to congratulate the couple, only Sophie, Ashley and Lisa stayed still.
"Sophie, aren't you going to congratulate them !?" Kathy held up her glass as she forced Sophie.
She wanted to view the sight of Sophie being heartbroken. No matter how unaffected she looked from the outside, inside she must be in torment, in pain , as Kathy thought.
"Oh , Yeah. That's right. With you temper there is no way you can congratulate others. Even if you were once Nathan's fiance, it was in the past. Since now you are in the industry, you must learn to get things snatched from you at all times and you should be more open minded" Kathy tried to hurt her as much as possible.
"When will they be officially engaged!?" Sophie asked calmly.
"After the huge sell of Mystic magazine" Kathy said confidently.
With the aid of Kathy's PR, Amber still had articles written about her back in New York. On top of that, the discussion amongst the fans made the Mystic famous even before the release.
Although the news of Amber being a mistress couldn't be cleared due to her popularity, a few companies had already contracted Global pictures for collaboration. She had high hopes for top 10 model awards.
So ,Kathy was confident that Mystic would have a huge number of sales.
"Then , I will have to say congratulations in advance!" Sophie maintained her smile as she also raised her glass at couple across of her.
After the Mystic launch event wrapped up, a whirlwind of tension swirled around as Amber, Nathan, and Kathy confronted Sophie. After some arguments from both sides, and Amber and Nathan trying to establish their authority, Finally, Sophie got out of the event .
Amber felt confident that once the magazine was out, any threat Sophie posed would vanish. She thought there was no point in wasting her energy on someone she deemed an outdated model.
Meanwhile, Kathy turned to Nathan with a devious suggestion. "We can't let her slip away unnoticed. Nathan, let's put out an article: 'Sophie returns home after a humiliating defeat, fleeing her failed battle in Mexico.'"
Nathan, with a reassuring smile, pulled Amber close and whispered, "Don't worry, Kathy. I've got it all figured out."
Outside the hotel where the launch event took place, Linda was waiting for Sophie with her assistant to escort her.
After arriving at Mystic headquarters, Linda pulled out a document and started explaining.
"The Photographer and I have passed on the highlights from your shoot to few famous brands. After seeing your photos, many brands were interested to work with you. Amongst them was a famous french make-up brand. They want to make their brand ambassador for the American region. The premise is they want you and their product to make a debut in Mystic magazine and opened them up at the American Market"
"Sophie, We all witnessed how your management agency treats you, but we don't want to let you go to waste. We will not spread news about this now. But after the oriental trend issue is released, we'll make a public announcement" Linda said.
Sophie looked at the information at her hands , noticing that it was the french brand ISN. Her eyes slowly lit up. It was a french domestic brand , that was founded over 100 years ago and it has never been opened up to the American Market.
This was such a pleasant surprise.
"Linda , Do you have that much faith in me !?" Sophie was surprised.
"Sophie, do you know what about you impressed me the most !?" Linda smiled slightly , her voice conteined traces of admiration, "Your casual and calm nature and the fact that you are not arrogant or impatient. You were born to be a model and you will one for sure become a supermodel"
Hearing their conversation, Lisa immediately started clapping. She was so happy that she wanted to scream.
Amber would have never imagined, while she was still thinking of ways to destroy Sophie's reputation and force her to take on cheap endorsements. Sophie had already become the American brand Ambassador for a french brand.
Who knows how upset Amber would be when she finally finds out.
"The day after tomorrow, I will arrange you to have a secret meeting with Isn to go over the details of your collaboration. We will discuss further then" Linda informed.
"Thank you , Linda" Sophie stood up to shake her hand.
"No need to thank me, I'm not just helping you, we are helping each other" Linda hugged Sophie warmly. She was lucky that she was not blinded by the lies that Kathy told her or she would have missed out on working with such an outstanding model.
She was also lucky that she didn't let her moment of pride destroy this opportunity to revive Mystic.
Sophie smiled as she placed the documents at her bags secretly.
Ashley looked at Sophie from behind and let out a smile of admiration. She knew Sophie had been through a lot, but because of her hardwork, she was finally getting what she deserved.
"Let's open an champagne to celebrate when we get back at home. This time Nathan and others will explode in anger" Lisa reveled a child like smile.
"Sophie, does this mean we won't be returning to New York first !?" Ashley asked.
"Kathy is going to be disappointed, she has probably already prepared a news article to make a fuss about me returning home. On the other hand , would you believe if I told you that Amber will be happy !? This would mean she can humiliate me in front of my face" Sophie said, she could clearly see through their plans.
Ashley smiled as she agreed, "Looks like that's how the things are gonna be"
"In that case, In a moment I will give them a call saying we are not returning yet. We will wait for the the arrival of oriental trend together. Ashley, can you find out more information about ISN for me , and run some background checks !? I want to make sure everything is flawless" Sophie instructed carefully.
"Your choices are never wrong!" Ashley replied.
Regardless of everything, Sophie was feeling that working with Ashley was getting better everyday. As a result, her trust towards her was getting stronger.
Wheres Lisa, Although she was capable of a lot of things, Sophie felt that she was better off as an assistant because of her attitude.
In the car, Sophie was feeling a bit uncomfortable, so she naturally changed her position.
Upon seeing this , Lisa raised an eyebrow, "Is your waist sore !?"
"Uh-huh!" Sophie nodded.
"And are your legs tired !?"
After hearing this question, Sophie lifted her head innocently and looked at Lisa. It turned out , Lisa was teasing her.
"Misses Kingsley, Why are you blushing !?"
Sophie was thinking from the intimate scene of the previous night. Noah's sexy body, his Gentle strength, his deep and charming voice and his magical hands.
In the short span of an afternoon, she already missed him.
"Since we have the next two days off, go keep your husband company" Lisa said.
"Yep!" Sophie already intended to do that.
Meanwhile, After receiving Ashley's call, Nathan's face was covered in anger. He had already prepared the article and contacted the media, but Sophie had simply decided that she was not going leave now.
"Nathan, This is also good. Let's all wait for the results of the magazine together, I can't wait to see the look on her face when she sees herself failing miserably." Amber hugged Nathan as she spoke, "After all,she is already suffering anyway. We will have plenty more opportunities to step on her in the future"
"I wanted to get back at her for you" Nathan said
"I know your intentions and that's enough. After all we are to be engaged" Amber responded shyly.
After being comforted, Nathan calmed down. Since , Sophie wanted to disgrace herself then she had no one to blame.
However, while they were enjoying themselves, Sophie secretly met up with ISN. Both parties were satisfied and the contract was quickly finalized.
There was no way , Global Pictures higher ups would disagree to this contract. The Ultimate Attack was not too far ahead.
