However, the armored samurai walking the streets still saw him with ease.

Fortunately, these warriors merely glanced at him before turning away, pretending not to see him—it must have been an order from the City God.

Relieved, Yibai breathed a sigh.

He continued into the heart of Jiangshui County.

As far as the eye could see, a vast number of shops had closed for the night, leaving the streets exceptionally quiet, with the occasional warrior escorting souls back to the City God Temple.

How come there's one establishment with brilliant lights, bright as day?
