"This garden's so dull at night," Osayi said as both he and Gaston finally made it for their reprieve.

Ísar was once again grateful to Emmeline for understanding his and Xinghua's request for needing an escape during the ball. He'd finally come to terms with the fact that, yes, he was quite seemed out by his fellow students and it was honestly exhausting.

His cheeks burned from having to put on an overly polite smile all night long.

"Considering we're technically not supposed to be here, why exactly are you surprised?" Gaston responded with his usual biting remark, although there was less heat in his words and Ísar had noticed.

He and Xinghua were sitting on the edges of the fountain, Gisela opting for standing beside Ísar to avoid getting her rather expensive white dress dirty.

Osayi hopped on the edge of the fountain beside Xinghua, squating with his arms out as he beckoned Gaston to stand in front of him.
