Bab 44: Talks of Betrothal

"Your majesty?"

"Hmm," Ísar responded, more focused on trying to urge the seed in the pot to grow with his magic than whatever the Count was going to say.

He was currently back at his magic lessons with the Court Mage, no longer as wary of his powers as he originally had been. The silence in his mind had become something that made the young king smile randomly from time to time.

"A Lady Pardeux, daughter of Duke Pardeux from the East, has requested a visit for tea. Should I send another rejection?"

Ísar sighed heavily, a small smile forming on his face when he saw the seed had begun to sprout. The smile dropped as he turned to face the Count with folded arms and blowing. strand of his now long wavy hair out of his eyes.

"That is the fourth of such requests today alone. Isn't Lady Pardeux sixteen years of age?"

The Count sighed, rubbing his eyebrows.
