Bab 314: How Not to Protect a Craftsman (2)

"It's like killing two birds with one stone," Sebastian said. "Except in this case, it's three guards and hopefully one magical artifact. And the stone is me. I'm the stone. God, I'm great!"

Sebastian waited for the guards to finish their shift. He sat there for hours, smiling to himself and thinking up dark jokes to pass the time.

After waiting for almost six hours, Sebastian saw some action. Three new guards from the Marauders showed up.

These guys looked at Liam and Jack's stuff with greed in their eyes. The two crafters seemed bothered and nervous. It was clear they were used to the Marauders trying to steal their goods.

<I'm sorry guys, you will need to wait for my help.>

Sebastian left with a grin. "Showtime," he said, falling into step behind the guards as they made their way through the streets of the Refuge.

"Can't believe we're stuck babysitting those guys," the knight said.
