Bab 44: 44. Time for some fun

Nyx stared at the empty wall with her head placed on Skye's chest. He was fast asleep while she couldn't even close her eyes. Her body was tired, but her mind ran a marathon a second. Although Skye had tried to put her to sleep after the intimate time they had, her eyes stayed open, and in order to ease him and allow him to sleep, she pretended to fall asleep.

This was their first ever becoming one, body and soul, and it felt great, but that didn't take away the fact that the man holding right now would leave her soon. Her heart ached just thinking about as she fought the tears threatening to spill.

'I am sorry, Skye,' she said in her heart. She didn't know how many times she had apologized, but she couldn't stop herself from doing so. If only it could take away the pain or keep him alive longer, then he would have become immortal by now.
