Bab 81: First public appearance together.

Through the entire car ride, to the moment of their arrival at the gallery for the benefit, Caishen could not stop wondering about Alix's words meant. What gift did she intend to get from him? 

What was this sly woman thinking? He kept sneaking glances at her, and looking away when she caught him staring. Caishen could not remember the last time he had been this nervous about something related to a woman. 

He looked at her as she handed their invitations over to a security guard at the door and they were allowed inside. 

"Well, we are here." she told him. 

"I have eyes miss Lin but thank you for pointing it out." he responded. 

He could so clearly see the beautifully decorated gallery, the expensive paintings which were on display all around. The beautiful and handsome guests who were well dressed and sparkling in fine jewels. And not to be missed where the glasses of champagne which were not allowed to sit empty for even a second.
