Elf Kingdom of Alf
Larfal Ljos Alf's POV
Inside the royal palace of the elf kingdom, in the largest palace at the center, a throne rises. The throne is mainly made of marble with golden and green inlays.
Seated on the beautiful throne, an elf with majestic appearance, jade green hair, and jade green eyes, his expression was stern, and a royal aura surrounded him.
"Have you found out which God descended?" with a majestic voice, the elf king addressed his servants prostrated under his throne.
"Yes, my lord. According to my subordinates who overheard the conversation between the God and the princess, we managed to identify the God as Kaylon, the primordial God of light," the elderly elf in a green mage robe responded firmly to his king.
The elf king kept a moment of silence after hearing his subordinate's words, then furrowing his brow slightly, he said, "God of light, huh? There's little information about him in our records. He had few appearances in the age of the Gods, but in the few times he appeared, he's depicted as one of the strongest primordials."
The elf king, having read all the records of his ancestors, possesses a lot of information about the Gods, although he dislikes the Gods, he also knows that their power is not something to be ignored.
"My lord, it seems the princess invited the God to enter our kingdom. By the princess's words, no one interfered with his entry, and according to my subordinates, he seems to be heading here. This subordinate assumes that the God wishes to meet you," the elf elder continued.
The elf king furrowed his brow again after hearing the report. "My curious daughter... You're truly curious. Sigh, inform the maids to prepare a banquet to receive him and a room for him to stay. Although the royal kingdom of Alf has been isolated from the world for a long time and normally does not allow any outsiders, including Gods, to enter, since it's my daughter who brings him, maybe I could hear what he has to say."
"Yes, my lord, I will do so immediately," the elderly elf bowed and swiftly moved to the exit with his subordinates.
'Sigh, with Riveria's curiosity, most likely she wants this God to stay for a while... It won't take long, right? Soon, I won't be able to keep her within the kingdom. With her personality, if I don't let her go, she'll likely escape. Oh, my daughter, you don't know the Gods well, beings who only seek pleasure, in their eyes, we are just toys...' Remembering the eyes of those Gods and their worldview, the elf king couldn't help but tightly clench his fists. 'We are not their toys!'
...
Night falls in the elf kingdom Alf, casting a beautiful illumination within the fantastic realm.
Near the royal palace, three figures could be seen, two beautiful elves and a handsome man with golden hair.
"I see, so that's how it is. Most magical Gods in Tenkai use divine energy rather than mana," Riveria said with a touch of disappointment in her tone.
"Well, you see, we Gods can use mana, but we prefer to use divine energy because it's easier for us to handle," Kaylon, who had been patiently answering Riveria's endless questions, said softly.
"So that's it, I see. Then divine arts are primarily used in..."
While the elf and the God had a pleasant conversation, they had reached the entrance of the royal palace without realizing it.
"Princess Riveria, welcome back," the elf guard guarding the door quickly saluted upon seeing his princess, with one hand over his chest and a bow.
"Good evening, Leiros. Thank you for your hard work," the previously animated Riveria, upon hearing the guard, returned to her royal aura, with her cold demeanor and aristocratic behavior.
"Let's go, Kaylon-Sama, now I'll take you to meet my father. Come with me this way," Riveria gestured to Kaylon, welcoming him to the palace.
"Riveria-Sama, is this the recently descended Kami-sama?" the guard nervously asked and then quickly blocked Riveria's advance.
"If something is the matter? I plan to take him to meet my father," Riveria furrowed her brow slightly at the guard's introduction.
"Riveria-Sama, forgive me, but you know the rules of the castle. No unauthorized guests are allowed to enter by the king," the guard quickly explained and could be seen very nervous after all, he was blocking the princess's path.
Riveria frowned at the situation. She naturally knows the rules of the palace and also knows that these rules are sacred. Not even royalty can break them. "I see. Then please inform my father immediately that the primordial God of light wishes to visit him, please."
The elf guard, visibly relieved that the princess didn't make it difficult for him, quickly said, "Yes, ma'am, I'll do it right away. I'll inform..."
"That won't be necessary. Kaylon-Sama, the king asked me to accompany you to the main palace, so if you would honor me," before the guard finished his words and went to inform, an elderly elf came to formally invite Kaylon to meet the king.
"Thank you for the invitation then I'll accompany you, Sir...," Kaylon smiled and courteously greeted the elf.
"Marcus Indasius, Kami-Sama,"
"Well then, Sir Marcus, I'll bother you,"
"This way, Kami-Sama,"
...
Third Person's POV
After walking for a while, the group of four arrived at the gates of the royal throne.
'The aesthetics of these elves really suit me, an elegant and luxurious image at the same time doesn't have to be ostentatious or extravagant to catch attention,' Kaylon nodded several times. In terms of appearance, he has to say that the elves have style.
"Kami-Sama, this way to the throne room. Please follow me," the elderly elf gestured. To Kaylon to accompany him.
Following the elderly elf, Kaylon headed to the elf royal throne room. After passing several hallways, they finally arrived at the throne.
In the middle of the hall, a majestic throne stood, with a royal elf seated solemnly upon it.
"I present my respects to the King! My lord, your throne welcomes the God of Light, Kaylon-Sama," the elf bowed quickly and presented his guest.
"I present my respects to the King!" Aina, who was behind, also bowed quickly.
"I present my respects to the king," Riveria made a bow, but unlike the others, she did not kneel. After all, as a princess, there is no need to kneel.
Kaylon, on the other hand, just made a slight bow and smiled friendly, "It's a pleasure to meet the legendary elf king. In Tenkai, you are undoubtedly spoken of a lot. I apologize for disturbing your kingdom with my sudden arrival. I hope it doesn't cause you too much trouble."
No one in the room, not the guards at the back, nor the king, nor the elderly, nor Riveria and Aina, felt surprised that Kaylon didn't kneel. After all, no matter how noble one's status, they are mortals in the end.
"And Kaylon-Sama, you don't have to worry about anything. It's not the first time a God has descended into our kingdom, so there's not much fear about it," the elf king said in a flat tone, while staring at the God, his gaze, although seemingly indifferent, contained a touch of disgust.
"I see, that's a relief then. Elf king, allow me to formally introduce myself. My name is Kaylon, the primordial God of light," Kaylon, who naturally noticed the elf king's disgust, continued unperturbed with his pleasant smile. (Originally, I wanted the MC to introduce himself with his last name, but then I considered it superfluous.)
"It's an honor to meet such an important primordial God within Tenkai. Allow me to introduce myself as well. My name is Larfal Ljos Alf, the 13th king of the great elf kingdom of Alf," the elf king introduced himself in a flat tone, it was clear that he had no desire to have a pleasant conversation with the God.
After a moment of silence between them, the elf king decided to break the somewhat uncomfortable moment. "And tell me, Kaylon-Sama, do you have any needs or requests to make of the elf kingdom? If not, I can send escorts to accompany you to the city of Orario if you wish."
The room couldn't help but fall into an uncomfortable silence after the king's direct words, which practically seemed to shout that if you have nothing to do, you can leave far from here.
On the other hand, Kaylon still had that friendly smile without any sign of discomfort. "Haha, a man who likes to get to the point, I see. I like people like you, elf king... Well, you see, in Tenkai, I heard that you elves have a library that contains books from tens of thousands of years ago... You see, as the God of light, in my long life, I've acquired other divinities besides light, among them is the divinity of knowledge, so I was wondering if I could-"
"If Kaylon-Sama is talking about entering and reading the books in the library, I suggest you forget it. The elven library was filled with the effort of all my elf ancestors, and it is a sacred place only for the elves," the king interrupted the God's words and said in a strong and firm tone, clearly expressing his opposition to the request.
"Father, don't you think that's too much!" Riveria, who had been dissatisfied with her father's attitude for a long time, exploded and spoke to the elf king with a loud and unpleasant voice.
"Kaylon-Sama only wishes to read our historical records, father, in my opinion, knowledge is not something that can be hidden or blocked-"
"Silence!!" Before Riveria finished her sentence, the elf king shouted with a thunderous voice, "I've told you many times, while I'm on this throne, I'm not your father, but your king! Besides, do you dare to side with a God instead of your family and your kingdom... the library is a sacred place for our elves, why should we let a God in? Because he's a God, we must give him everything, kneel and worship him, follow his games, his likes, his desires just because he's a GOD!?" After his daughter's words, the elf king couldn't help but explode, and his flat and indifferent facade crumbled, revealing his extreme disgust towards the God.
"Guards! Escort the God to the exit, send an escort to accompany him to Orario," the king regained his composure and ordered the guards.
"Father, you..." Riveria, who had been stunned by her father's outburst, came to her senses and furiously tried to contradict her father.
"Riveria, I've made my decision, your words won't change it. You can go back to your room, we'll talk later," the king signaled to his guards to accompany his daughter back.
"Hmph, I'll go alone, I don't need anyone to escort me, let's go, Aina!"
...
On the other hand, Kaylon, who was being dragged with an important expression, couldn't help but be speechless about the previous situation.
"Yeah... The plan didn't go as I imagined. Who would've thought the king's disgust towards the Gods would be so strong? Damn, those stinky Gods ruining my image. Well, what do we do now? The part about reading the library seems to be very difficult to pull off, well, it's just a library... However, I definitely can't give up on Riveria. Apart from being my favorite waifu, even if it turns out she's different from the anime and our relationship doesn't work out, still, Riveria is an incredible mage, and adding her to the family is definitely important..."
With those thoughts, Kaylon couldn't help but sigh. Now he has to reconstruct the plan to approach Riveria and win over her family.
"Kami-Sama, please wait here. The group of elves that escorted you to Orario will come soon," the elf guard with a flat face told Kaylon as he walked away.
"Oh, I understand. Thank you for the help," Kaylon smiled amiably, although inside he complained about those damn guards who squeezed his arms more than they should have, and now they hurt. 'Damn those bastards had strength, even though I'm sealed, as a primordial God my strength should be around level 3 among mortals, those guys must be level 4 or 5, uh, that means the plan to sneak into the palace should be discarded too.'
"Well, let's get out of here. I don't want to go to Orario right now. Let's travel around Genkai for a while, maybe we'll find something good out there."
Kaylon stood up and was about to escape from here and then look for the opportunity to steal Riveria when he heard the door open and two figures with cloaks covering them entered through the door. Then the taller figure spoke.
"If Kaylon-Sama doesn't mind, this elf could accompany him on his journey," the taller figure lowered the cloak covering her face, revealing Riveria's face.
(Imagine her with an extra cloak)
"Hehe, Riveria-san, just as I thought from the beginning, you truly have the spirit of adventure," Kaylon smiled excitedly.
"Let's go, there's so much to see and experience."
"Yes, Kaylon-Sama."
---
Haha, we didn't manage to read, but in the end, we did steal our elf.
