Jack pushed the glass doors open, letting the harsh afternoon sunlight pour into the hospital lobby. The rush of air that followed was a stark contrast to the sterile, muted atmosphere inside.
"Finally," DL huffed, straightening up. She slipped her hands into the pockets of her denim shorts, her lean form relaxed yet alert.
"Out of hospital," Jack said.
"Yeah," She stretched her arms behind her, the motion pulling her tank top tighter against her frame. "Figured we might do something fun."
Jack's brows furrowed. "Like what?"
A playful grin spread across her lips. "I dunno. Something fun. Drink, maybe a game of pool, or… Ooh! How about buying something crazy, like a new bike or car?"
Jack's eyes lit up at the mention of a car. "Funny you should mention that. I was actually thinking about getting one."
