Bab 47: Blocking the Memories

Christina jolted awake, huffing and gasping for air. Her body was covered in a cold sweat, a torrent of emotions overwhelming her senses. 

"Are you alright?" Theodore's voice, laced with concern, snapped her out of her daze. She glanced around, her mind trying to pick up the situation. It appeared she had been moved to a guest room, but the events leading up to this moment were still a hazy mess. 

"The doctor said you fainted due to overexertion," Blaze, who was standing behind Theodore's chair, clarified, slowly piecing together the puzzle for her. "Everyone is accusing me of overworking you at the office, even though I've been nothing but a generous boss," he complained with a pout, effectively lightening the mood in the room.
