Bab 45: Building Spirit Sense
Three weeks later, the sun beat down on the training grounds of the Myriad Spirit Academy, casting sharp shadows while the clash of shattering ice against a weapon could be heard. In the midst of this orchestrated chaos, Lassim and Valeria were locked in an intense sparring session.
Lassim, now showing signs of being more agile and aware, weaved through Valeria's onslaught of attacks. His movements showing more fluidity in a pattern of dodges, blocks, and while also deflecting her attacks. His mastery over the basic defensive maneuvers she had been training him in was evident in each parry and sidestep, yet Valeria's experience and raw power still found ways to surprise him. She used her icicle attacks sneaking through his defenses for every gap she saw.

JPNovelFan Had my first negative review today. It's demotivating and tough but I'll promise to do better to improve my dialogue and story writing. I'm sorry if the characters sound similar to the narration of the story. I don't know how to fix that quite yet. I'm personally writing both, so I don't know how to create different sounding voices. I'm a new author so I appreciate your forgiveness. I'll study to try and improve this.
Also, sorry if it's a lot of exposition and growing for the MC in the story at the moment. Right now is the "growth" phase of the story where he learns all the basics that will help him to fight the Dragal and abyssal legion in the future. I'm trying to build a semi-realistic fantasy world. He is just a child, yet raised with a noble and militeristic upbringing, that is still being trained. It'll get more action packed with an event I have planned to take place soon, but I'd be happy if you could just enjoy the journey getting there. We still have some more training to go through as he learned that he still has many shortcomings. The whole point of this academy arc is to make mistakes, learn from them, and become a strong powerful bastion against the Dragal for the Nexarian world.
