Looking at the information about the Kmoodoan Scale, Aeon was pleasantly surprised because he got 10 of such scales.
Even though Aeon could use each scale only for one time, he got 10 such scales which means he could block 10 attacks from the Sergeant Grade Monsters.
Moreover, it was just the first gift of the six gifts he would be receiving. There were still five more gifts left for him to check.

For a moment, Aeon didn't believe that he received such a gift from the Grimoire of Life and Death; he never knew that he would get his hands on the item so early without entering the Celestial World Tree.
Skill Crystal…Aeon doesn't need any explanation about this item because all the Life Blood Cultivators dream of getting these things to become stronger.
A Skill Crystal…as the name sounds, helps a Life Blood Cultivator's Life Seed awaken a skill. So, whenever a Skill Crystal appears, it causes a huge commotion that might lead to bloodshed.
'So, offering the corpses will even give me valuable things like Skill Crystals.'
Aeon was already happy about offering the corpses to the Grimoire of Life and Death for simple equipment and now, he got something that was very hard to acquire even for his father.
Originally, Aeon thought that he had to wait until he entered the Celestial World Tree because the Skill Crystals were mostly blessed by the Celestial World Tree.
'I have to find a safe place before letting my Life Seed consume it. For now, I can only keep it safe.'
From the little knowledge Aeon had about the Skill Crystal, it would take some time for the cultivator's Life Seed to fully absorb the energy from the Skill Crystal to awaken a skill.
During that time, the cultivator should not be disturbed.
Hence, Aeon decided to use it after he found a safe spot because the one he was currently at, was not a really safe place as he would be making his move after checking out the gifts.
'Let's see what are the remaining gifts.'
Just the two gifts were enough for Aeon to put him on cloud nine and even if the remaining items were bad, he won't be disappointed about it.

Just like he imagined, the remaining four gifts were not even comparable to the first gift, not to mention the second gift.
However, the fifth and sixth gifts satisfied Aeon with their information.
'Among all the monster corpses I offered to the Grimoire of Life and Death, these Komodoan Lackeys gave good gifts. In the future, I must find a chance to thank them properly for the gifts from their brothers.'
Aeon revealed a cold smile on his face as he silently thought to himself.
Of course, even though he said he wanted to thank them, the meaning behind those words was completely different from how they were regularly used.

Except for the Goblin Essence Crystals, Aeon could not use the Quaggoth Essence Crystals or Komodoan Essence Crystals; however, he didn't throw them.
Instead, Aeon stored them in the hopes of being able to exchange them somewhere in this Trial Realm.
'If I am lucky, I might get equipment similar to the Goblinbone Totem.'
Aeon knew such a thing was almost impossible to happen; however, he didn't mind keeping those crystals as he had enough space inside the Goblin Secret Ring.
'With the addition of another Attack Talisman, I have another trump card against the Sergeant Grade Monsters.'
Even though Aeon knew that he could not kill the Sergreant Grade Monsters with these attack Talismans, they would help him in creating an opening to kill the Sergreant Grade Monsters.
'Also, I can rub the Komodoan Poison Potion onto my Goblinbone Dagger and the Quaggoth Blade Blade. As long as I made a cut or two on the Sergeant Grade Monsters with them, it could weaken them.'
After checking the information on the items he received from the Grimoire of Life and Death, it was Aeon's habit to think about how and where to use them.
So, he spent a few moments thinking of that before resuming his journey towards the Goblinthorn Village.
However, he added another minor goal on his journey and was looking for a possible safe place…A safe place to spend the night and at the same time, use the Skill Crystal for his Life Seed to awaken its first skill.
'Damn it…why is it so hard to find?'
However, Aeon was not able to find any safe place despite its nearing the nighttime.
Actually, it was not that hard to find a safe place; however, the problem was that every 100 meters or so, Aeon was finding a monster group or a residence of some powerful monsters of Captain Grade.
Soon, the night came; however, Aeon had yet to find a safe place to rest.
'Roar'

As soon as the darkness arrived, the night monsters became active as Aeon could hear the howls and roars from all directions.
From the Emerald River to the Goblinthorn Village, the daytime was already dangerous and in the night, even Sergeant Grade Monsters would be dead before they knew how they died.
'Let's follow the same technique as before and hide in the bush.'
Since Aeon was not able to find a good hideout and also didn't wish to travel in the darkness, he decided to hide in the bush just like how he did before conquering the Goblin's Cave.
'Hiss~'

However, he was not as lucky as before because just after a few moments of settling in the bush, Aeon heard hissing sounds and saw the multiple pairs of glowing eyes looking at him.
