Bab 19: RE: Beg.

NOTICE! I am removing mana from Merlin and instead replacing it with mental power. Now the limit of spells that he can cast is directly correlated to his mental fortitude, willpower, and intelligence.

And also, this chapter gets a bit brutal later.

————-

The two men I had blasted away regained their balance and stood still as their master talked, "I was wondering why you weren't affected by my magic. Now I know why. You are a mage, however you are unblessed by the Goddess Kali. Taking her magic without consent." The Goddes Kali? Oh! The one she and her group were based off of.

"Whatcha gonna do about it?" I said, reading my next spells in my hands. Seeing my action, her two guards charged forward. And as I turned my attention to them, she charged at the speed of four times that of a regular human.

I had forgotten about that.

Landing a precise punch on my face that hurt a whole lot because of one simple thing MC=E^2. Or something… I'm not smart enough to remember.

Staggering backwards into the closed door of mh containment cell, I closed my eyes and set off one of the spells I had prepared. {Flash Bang} was a combination of [Generate Light] and three [Enhance Light Brightness]. If you looked directly at it, I was sure you'd at least go blind for a few minutes. If not permanently. Although SCP-29 was highly resistant to most types of damage, I doubted she was to light.

Hearing a shout of pain from the daughter of DARKNESS, I set off my second, more complicated spell. {Earth Binding} had two variations, one where there was earth. In which case it simply took that. Or when there was none. So I had to generate it myself.

It was the latter case for this. So its components were, [Set Target], [Generate Earth], [Shape Earth Into Rope], [Enhance Earth]x2, [Find Target], [Wrap Around Target]. My first circle spell. Both in amount of circles and what I had taken to calling spells that needed one circle or less to cast.

Knowing that, even if the binding succeeded, the battle wasn't over. As she still had control of the guards. So, even with a minor headache, I started to create two more spells. SCP-029's binding effect was permanent. So I only had two options.

Kill them, or disable them.

With the security breach ongoing, and with the unknown SCPs in this containment facility, it would be very reckless of me to bind them. As that cost far more mana than {Lightningbolt} or {Fireball}. Which could easily kill the two around me.

So the question was, would I sacrifice my image of being a smart, albeit kind guy. Into that of a killer? My answer was-

{Lightning Bolt} was made up of the components [Generate Lightning], [Keep Lightning], [Release Lightning], and [Muffle Sound] A very cost effective spell for the power—and speed—it held.

Opening my eyes to find my sight still being a bit blurry, I found the two guards standing in place with a pained expression on their face. Clearly experiencing immense pain and momentarily blind from the {Flash Bang}, even if it wasn't directed at them.

Rasing the two rapidly forming triangle level spells at them, I wondered why it was so easy for me to take their lives. Because I still think this is just a vivd dream? Or was it because I found myself in a dimension with horrifying creatures that could end everything with the blink of an eye? Or was it because of something else.

Right now though, I didn't really care. It was good that I wouldn't hesitate at the moment. Willing the spells to fire with my mental power, it happened in an instant. I couldn't even blink before the lightning shot forth and broke through the sound barrier hundreds of times over. A massive, burning whole was left in the bodies of the two guards. The walls scorched behind them.

Falling unto my ass, I began to chuckle slightly. Then, after a few moments of chuckling, I started to burst into laughter on the floor. All of their memories deleted in an instant. Their future gone. The family and friends they could have made, also gone. Everything and anything they could have been, gone. All because of one simple unlucky encounter.

I understood now.

I was laughing because, I too, was used to be like them. Not able to even survive a single bullet to the chest. Not able to summon lightning from my hands. Not able to plot and plan to become an omnipotent being.

Weakness. The greatest sin of all universes.

Although it may sound very, very cliche. It was simply the truth, that had been parroted many times, for the harsh world we found ourselves in. Although most people would never see the true harshness of the world, I was in the middle of it. Directly inserted into the SCP foundation. No way out, just me, my ability, and magic.

After finishing my revelation, I stood up from the floor I had found myself cradled on and walked over the the very much struggling and writhing SCP-029. The entirety of her body wrapped in earth excluding her face and feet.

Growling at me in a gutteral tone, she attempted to bite me. Although I swiftly dodged it. Rasing my hand into the air, I swung it down with an open palm and slapped her across the face. Spitting out salava from the power of it, SCP-029 began to fucking roll away. Grabbing her by her feet, I used the adrenaline in me to lift her into the air and swung her and her cocoon down unto the floor. With a loud *BANG*, her face smashed directly into the cold concrete floor.

Still appearing unscathed from my attacks, I pondered the best method to make her suffer. And feel the pain she had inflicted unto so many others. Thinking for a brief moment, I came up with the most fitting punishment. Although I couldn't damage her outside body with mundane methods, I could get around this.

Walking up to the growing SCP-029, who was also confident in my ability to do nothing to her, I spoke, "You know what would be dramatic irony? Little girl?" Moving my face to be mere inches from her own, she spat on my face. You can't do shit to me, the Goddess Kai-." She was intrupted by me grabbing her neck and rasing her small body into the air with both hands. Although the Earth encasing her was quite heavy, she was not.

The {Earth Binding} around her dissolved by my own will. Seeing this, she rapidly began to attempt to kick me, but her short legs failing just short of doing so. Next, she began to claw at my hands and arms in a desperate attempt to pry them off of her.

My flesh was torn and my blood was spilled, but I did not yield. Rather, my grip intensified as my will strengthened. I wouldn't kill her right now… no… I'd strangle once for every single death she had orchestrated in a vain attempt for some goddess to end the world. And even after that I'd strangle her again, and again, and again. Whenever I felt like it really.

She would feel the pain. And although The Foundation may put walls between us, she would never be able to keep me away for long. I could promise that.

"Little girl, guess what! I'm not going to kill you… no… I'm going to choke you till you pass out every single day. And even if The Foundation may put walls, and guards, and whatever the fuck else they may have… I'll be there. If you kill yourself I'll find a way. My magic is ever growing ya'know. And even when I kill you, I'll bring you back." I repeated what I had thought in my head.

The barely 14 year old looking girl started to cry tears of fear as even with my arms in shreds I wouldn't let go. I could tell by looking into her eyes, she was afraid. Afraid of me. Afraid of feeling the same as the thousands she had killed.

And I absolutely loved it.

"Pah-Pleeessse…" she managed to gargle out. Please what?! Not do the same as she had done to so many before her? What a fucking hypocrite.

"I-I'll beewwwee guh-good…" another gargle informed me. The tears flowing unto my hand.

Be good? Really now. "Really? You'll be good? On what oath?" I said, slightly loosening my grasp so she could speak. It would be fun to see what she could come up with. Mental torture was far more effective than physical torture for some.

SCP-029 took a deep and long breath of air before she tried her best at bargaining. "I'll never worship Kail again! I'll never kill or strangle another human.. I-I-" She started to stutter at the end, as she sniffled and continued to cry uncontrollably.

'Should I be torturing this little girl?' Was the thought that popped into my head. 'Probably'. Ignoring the thoughts that pleaded for me to give a mass murder a second chance, I tightened my grip around SCP-029's neck.

Continuing to struggle with all of her might I held tight until the struggle slowed, and then eventually came to a stop. Letting go of SCP-29, her body fell unto the floor. Unconscious. This was just the start however.
