Bab 66: Friends?

Seeing how Cindy-Lou had ignored them, Charles felt bad and turned to leave but Grace called him back.

This was a perfect opportunity to educate Charles who had never encountered such a situation in his entire life.

All along he was the one ignoring others while they buttered him up just to get even a glance from him.

So how can his poor heart bear it when he was at the receiving end all of a sudden.

"Charles darling, You can't leave now. Do you want our little friend to remain sad?"

Sad? Charles could clearly see that she was enjoying herself while ignoring them. So he pouted his lips and looked away and didn't see that at some point, Cindy-Lou's fingers that had been seriously manipulating the papers had stopped when she heard the word "friend" although Grace took note of it, she didn't say anything.

It was as if Cindy-Lou was waiting to hear what Charles would say.
