Bab 61: Follow The Leader

She was sitting in a corner all by herself and seemed to not care about what anyone else was doing as she played with her blond curly haired doll.

She also had bright blond curls that covered most of her face and as if sensing someone's gaze on her, she raised her head and her big innocent hazel eyes met with Charles's ocean blue.

They stared at each other for some time before Charles turned away.

Next, they moved to a circle time area, where a teacher sat surrounded by eager children. They listened intently as she read a story, their eyes wide with wonder.

Grace nudged Charles forward, urging him to join the group but he hesitated, his gaze darting nervously around the room.

But as the teacher beckoned to him with a warm smile, he turned around and held onto Grace's trousers.

"It's ok, dear. You don't have to join if you don't want to. We can just watch them from here," she coaxed.
