"What an adorable pair. It's so good to see them so happy. This was what she never experienced with her own family. With a sister who was sneakily scheming behind her back and a father who had been pretending all these years to be her father, she was far from knowing what it felt like to have a loving family.

She was so engrossed in her thoughts that she completely forgot about her previous apprehension of facing Jace after what happened between them.

It was after she was seated at the table and felt an awkward silence around her that she came to herself.

She looked around and saw two pairs of ocean-blue eyes staring at her curiously. One was large and cute while the other was narrow and intense.

A deep blush quickly spread over her face as she realized she'd zoned out and was seated opposite the very person she had no intention of meeting for the moment. All her initial nervousness came back and she didn't know where to hide her face.
