Bab 55: Ruby?

As the bell rang again, I was a bit stiff, but I stretched my neck and got up, moving to the center of the ring.

I didn't wait, starting with a kick to the head. He dove under and walked in with an uppercut. I avoided with a stepback, lashing out with another spinning kick at his head.

Unsuccessful.

I was left momentarily off balance. Switching to defense I ducked under his assault, rapidly shuffling my feet to regain balance.

I crouched, squinted, and sent my fist darting forward. Rock tanked it, stumbling back a step, but it was only a feint.

I got my fist in his face. It cracked his nose, and he started bleeding.

He sent a right to my face and missed.

His stance was too wide, leaving his calf exposed. I lashed out with a kick from my right foot.

He stumbled, almost dropping, but miraculously got back upright.

I stepped back to readjust.

I moved in.

Right hook.

Kick to his liver.
