Adeline sat on the bed with her legs crossed, just staring at the lovely ring on her ring finger. It was so beautiful, like Caesar took his time out picking it.
Was it really real? The whole wedding and everything? Did they really get married? She wasn't dreaming was she? She won't wake up tomorrow and it'll all be a long dream back at the Petrov's mansion right?
It should be reality, shouldn't it? Caesar was real, right? He loved her and she loved him. She was his wife and she belonged to him, no—
"What are you thinking?" A voice she knew all too well sounded, snapping her out of her drifting thought.
Adeline looked up to meet Caesar's gaze. They were at his penthouse, away from the pack. He didn't want to return there, but rather be away, alone with Adeline.
"Caesar," Adeline mumbled, blinking her eyes in surprise. She didn't hear him come in.
