That boy was Dimitri. He was holding onto Mr. Petrov's hand, almost as if he couldn't function without this man—his father.

"What a moment..." Alexandra grinned. "I really hate to ruin it." She stepped forward, approaching the bed.

Lowering her eyes, she took a glimpse of Dimtri's face. He was fast asleep.

My dear little nephew... She extended her hand, caressing his dark hair. Her fingers traced the exposed skin of his face, and she squatted down to his height level.

She gazed at him, fascination brimming in her pupils. This was the first time she'd seen him up close. The last time she met him face-to-face was when he was about the age of thirteen, but she strongly doubted that Dimitri would still remember her.
