Adeline quickly shook her head, grabbing his hand to keep him in place.

"Finish the rest with me."

Caesar bit his bottom lip with a sly smile and took just a moment to bite on her earlobe. He couldn't help it at all, pushing the earmuff aside.

While they attempted to complete the remaining target, he probed, having been curious for a while now, "So, why did you want to see me tonight? We didn't have plans."

"I was angry, and I thought of you," Adeline answered honestly and loaded the gun with bullets.

"Oh?" Well, one could definitely say he was taken aback. That was not the response he expected from her. "Who made you angry?"

Adeline's eyes flickered when she felt his lips on the pulse of her neck. She took deep breaths and swallowed hard before giving him an answer, "D-Dimitri and his father."
