Shu Jie almost immediately understood what that meant and her expression turned serious as she scolded the matriarch, "Mom, have you forgotten what the doctor said last time? You only occasionally feel better, but you haven't fully recovered. Your underlying condition is still there. You can't do this again. What would we do if something happened to you? What about Jiaojiao?"

"Ah, it's my fault, my fault," the Ruanlin matriarch nodded, sincerely admitting her mistake.
