Bab 170: Prevent Suspicion

For a moment, Theodore was silent when Madeline asked directly in front of him like that. He could feel her gaze filled with suspicion. It was hard to avoid suspicion when Theodore brought up a lot of things suddenly like this. 

"Does it matter where I got it from? What matters is that we now have weapons to deal with the zombie hordes out there," Theodore said, not directly answering Madeline's suspicions. 

"But, still-" 

Before Madeline could finish her sentence, Cassian spoke up first. 

"Although I'm also curious about where he got all this stuff. But it is true that we really need this stuff right now, so it doesn't matter where it came from," Cassian explained, looking straight at Madeline. 

Madeline was seen gritting her teeth in annoyance; she couldn't avoid that remark because it was true that they really needed these items now. 

However, Madeline would not just back down; she would find time to discover Theodore's secret.
